I beleive "reflective learning" is looking back at a peice of work and simply reflecting what you have learnt. It can also be looked at as assessing your own work to see if you think you have reached your target. Reflective learning can help a student to understand their strengths and weaknesses by seeing where they have gone wrong. By looking back over my work I can recognize areas that need improvement
Reflection can lead to greater self-awareness, which in turn is a first step to positive change and growth in both personal and professional contexts. Taking time to reflect can help you identify approaches that have worked well, and in that way reinforce good practice.

My First Presentation
Last week in my ICT class in uni I was asked to make a presentation on something that interests us. We could choose who we wanted to work with and I chose my bestfriends Lucy and Sophie. These girls are also from Neath and were in my Comprehensive school so I felt relaxed and confident working with them. It was hard to decide a topic but during conversation we came up with festivals, maybe because 2 of our other bestfriends worked at one this year (Reading).
Music festivals have a great astmosphere, there is a unique mixture of people and music. I have only been to one and that was called "Escape into the Park" I am determind to go to more! I witnessed an amazing vibe where thousands of clubbers flocked to one place.
Firstly we used our own computers and typed into Google "Music Festivals" we all came up with different internet sites that we thought were useful but Lucy's seemed the most accurate.

Today in my ICT lesson we have carried on finding out new tips and tricks on www.blogger.com. I have now updated my profile by adding a search bar so followers can look more specifically and I am now following educational blogs.
Today we have also been talking about "reflective learning." We wrote down words that came to our minds. Here's mine :
Today we have also been talking about "reflective learning." We wrote down words that came to our minds. Here's mine :
· Rethink over tasks
· Repeat
· Correct any mistakes, can see where you have gone wrong
· Find out what you found hard or easy in the task
· Room for improvement
· Trial and error
· Helps understand the topic more
· Evaluate and criticise
· Absorbing – gain knowledge
As a class we then went onto https://bubbl.us/ using the white board. Everyone gave their words and ideas and at the end we greated a huge mind map.

Me
This is my first ever Blog journal so excuse me if it is not perfect! From a young age I have always dreamt of being a Primary School Teacher. This year I got a place in Swansea Metrapolitan University to study Educational Studies, I am here now and loving it so far! Throughout my time here I am going to try and continue to blog about the different experiences I will have and new oppurtunities I am given. I am from Neath, a small town about 15 minutes away from Swansea. I am still living at home as I did not get into halls as I live so close. Two of my best friends also got onto the same course as me, Sophie and Lucy were in my Comprehensive and we car share everyday.
